The "LUNCH BUNCH" is a ministry to mostly homeless people living in Kona.
We meet at the church parking lot at 10:30 a.m. on Mondays then go thgether to a designated location.
We serve a large hot meal consisting of a main dish, macaroni salad, fresh fruit, side vegetables, green salads and deserts. We have volunteers bring side dishes which they have prepared at home. Our team of helpers consists of 12-14 people and we serve 50 to 60 hungry people each week.
The spiritual side of the ministry consists of:
We have other volunteers who sit with the people and talk to them, listen to them and pray for them as requested. The Lord answers their prayers- people get jobs, find places to live, often become self-sufficient and rehabilitated. It is an exciting ministry to see God moving and we all have a good time, the hungry and volunteers included!
